Licensed Psychologist Private Practice

Novo is expanding! We are seeking a full time licensed psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D) to join our team. The position is for an independent contractor status and includes a flexible work schedule.

Candidates must meet requirements to be fully licensed in the state of Minnesota and have at least 2 years of experience providing cognitive-behavioral interventions and/or other evidence based treatment modalities.

Our practice is the perfect mix of an academic setting with the relaxed feel of a private practice. We are a close knit group that values consultation, collaboration, autonomy, flexible scheduling, ongoing training, and fun! We provide beautiful fully furnished office space, staff to handle calls/scheduling, an EHR system with set note templates and billing, office supplies and stationery, marketing materials, phone system, a steady stream of referrals, and a cohesive team environment.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

Because Novo therapists receive specific referrals for highly specialized skill sets, we are seeking therapists who have an identified area of expertise and plan to predominantly build a caseload within one or more of the following specialty area(s).

Anxiety Disorders/OCD Specialist-

The ideal candidate will have strong interest and at least 2 years experience in treating generalized anxiety, social anxiety, OCD, phobias, and/or panic disorders. Experience with cognitive- behavioral therapy (CBT),exposure and response prevention (ERP), and/or acceptance and commitment therapy is strongly preferred. Training, consultation, and supervision are offered for those who do not have experience treating OCD but have strong interest. We receive many referrals for OCD concerns in all ages. The candidate for this position would ideally be able to see children, adolescents, and adults.

Disruptive Behavior Disorders Specialist-

This position is primarily suited for those with a specialty in working with preschool age, elementary, and young adolescents with disruptive behavioral concerns. The ideal candidate will use behavioral treatment modalities to provide parent behavior management training, create effective behavioral interventions for children and families, provide parent coaching for children with ADHD, and be familiar with or have had some training in utilizing parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT) for ages 2-7. Further training and consultation for those interested in PCIT are available.

Teen Mood Disorders Specialist-

This position is suited for those who are particularly interested in working with teens with mood disorders, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, and high risk behaviors. In addition to depression, anxiety, relationship conflicts, family issues, suicidal ideation, and social concerns, referrals for this position would include teenagers with ADHD who struggle with executive functioning, keeping up with school work, and staying engaged in academic goals. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a combined humanistic and behavioral treatment approach, and clinical experience utilizing behavioral activation, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and/or interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT)

In addition to identifying an area of specialty, the ideal candidate for Novo will:

1. Value professional development and have interest in attending weekly consult meetings, monthly trainings, and local/national conferences

2. Maintain active licensure in MN.

3. Be at true team player with an interest in joining a collegial, supportive, and social group of clinicians
