CAROLINA PSYCHOLOGICAL (CPA) is hiring committed and driven clinicians to join our new multi-disciplinary location in Durham. CPA has been in business for 40 years and has developed a strong reputation in the GSO community for providing families with dependable and high quality care. We have a long history of client retention, with clients often bringing their own children, other family members, or friends to the practice as well. We have the privilege of developing long-term relationships with our clients over many years of their lives.
CPA began as a small "family" practice in 1986 and the primary goal throughout the company's growth has been to maintain that culture. We value a common goal of personal commitment to client care and professional growth, personal accountability and drive for excellence. We are team-oriented and are always collaborating, formally and informally, to support our clients and each other. We are family-oriented and respect the needs of our clients and their families, and our "office family." We all have families and attempt to allow for the flexibility that family requires whenever possible. We aim to support each other when the unexpected occurs as much as we can as colleagues but also as friends. We work hard to maintain a "fun, supportive, friendly, family focused atmosphere." We are a team and operate as such without egos getting in the way.
Our practice provides a wide array of services including, evaluations, individual, couples, and family counseling, and a variety of therapy groups. We offer evaluations to all ages for a variety of issues including, but not limited to, anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, learning differences, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. While children are the large majority of our evaluation referrals, we also evaluate a wide variety of young adults, adults, and older adults.
We are always willing and open to expanding our evaluation specialties and would encourage those with neuropsychology backgrounds to apply. We are also working towards the goal of providing parents/families with comprehensive treatment options within our pratice following diagnosis of Autism. We are working to develop therapy groups for parents who have children newly diagnosed with support, parenting skills, preparation for the IEP process, grief, etc. We would love to find a candidate who also has experience with behavior therapy, ASD focused experience and training that could work with families and children after diagnosis, etc. We are open to skills in this area as we work to provide more support to our families. We are also open to any applicant who may have a specific training specialty a focus area in a particular topic they would like to develop further (assessment, therapy, groups, etc.) We know we want to expand our autism support offerings, but we are also open to bringing more specialty services to the practice in general. If there is a specialty you may bring with you or a background in autism treatment not mentioned, please apply so we can discuss further.
