Responsibilities

• Safely operate septic tank trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols
• Load and unload septic waste materials efficiently at designated locations using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Manual labor is part of this position.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met
• Follow designated routes for timely deliveries while maintaining accurate logs using Jobber to include photos of job, details of job, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery details
• Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of trucks to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Communicate effectively with office personnel regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or any vehicle issues that arise during shifts
• Assist with site setup or cleanup as needed during service calls to ensure environmental safety and customer satisfaction

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for tanker and septic waste transport
• Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with septic tank trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles
• Skilled in manual transmission operation
• Knowledge of load & unload procedures, route driving best practices, and safety regulations related to hazardous waste transportation
• Ability to operate forklifts or other equipment used for excavating, loading/unloading when required
• Strong commitment to safety protocols, environmental standards, and customer service excellence
• Excellent driving record with experience in freight delivery or commercial driving roles
