Licensed Social Worker and Professional Counselor

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health counseling and possess the skills necessary to provide effective therapeutic support to individuals and groups. This role requires expertise in various therapeutic modalities, including behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, as well as experience working with diverse populations, including geriatrics and those facing aging issues.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine individual needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions focusing on mental health issues, behavioral health, and case management.
• Utilize techniques such as applied behavior analysis and diagnostic evaluation to support patient care.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions that promote social interaction and support among participants.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care, including home & community care experiences.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in clinical counseling and behavioral health.

Experience

• A valid license as a Professional Counselor is required.
• Proven experience in clinical counseling, intake assessments, and medical terminology is essential.
• Familiarity with medical documentation practices and maintaining patient records is necessary.
• Experience in social work or related fields is a plus.
• Previous work with aging populations or in geriatrics is preferred.
