Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Social Worker/Therapist to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health and clinical counseling services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Your expertise will help individuals and families navigate complex emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges. You will conduct assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based therapies to promote recovery and well-being. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and mental health screenings using standardized tools and clinical judgment.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
- Implement specialized interventions for clients with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, addiction issues, Alzheimer’s care needs, and geriatrics.
- Manage crisis situations through effective crisis intervention and crisis management techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Document all patient interactions accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management plans that include home & community care strategies.
- Participate in clinical research projects related to behavioral health or mental health counseling to support continuous improvement and evidence-based practice.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent credential.
- Proven experience in psychotherapy, mental health counseling, or clinical social work within hospital or community settings.
- Experience working with children & family counseling, special education populations, or individuals with disabilities is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in EMR systems for documentation and data collection; experience with clinical research is a plus.
- Excellent skills in motivational interviewing, crisis management, diagnostic evaluation, and patient assessment.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including those with autism spectrum disorder or developmental disabilities; familiarity with applied behavior analysis is advantageous.
