Licensed Therapist (LCSW or LMHC)

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate New York Licensed Therapists (LCSW, LMHC) to join our team and provide direct services to patients and their families, including individual therapy and family sessions as needed.

In collaboration with the treatment team, the Therapist ensures high-quality care for patients in an outpatient setting, aligned with patient needs and level of care.

This is a part-time position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Receive, review and promptly respond to intake referrals upon assignment of the case.
  • Conduct Bio/Psych/Social assessments, diagnostic impression, and formulate treatment plans under the guidance of the Clinical Director.
  • Meet in individual sessions with patients at a frequency determined by the ongoing assessment of progress in t treatment.
  • Complete and assist clients in aftercare and discharge planning
  • Provide direct clinical services, including individual, group, family and/or couples therapy to clients and their families
  • Provide case management services as needed, including referrals to outside resources when necessary
  • Ensures cohesion of all services documented within the clinical chart (including but not limited to services provided by case management, medical providers and the laboratory) and assists with compliance with various

standards.

  • Maintain accurate, thoroughly documented client records with a quality of documentation that meets all applicable standards in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Utilize EHR to input all clinical documentation.
  • Attend and participate in treatment team meetings as scheduled to ensure quality of care for clients.
  • Attend staff development and general staff meetings.
  • Attend staff and clinical training.
  • Communicate with Medical Director and other prescribers to ensure quality clinical services are provided to the client on a timely and as needed basis.
  • Participate in and attend supervision/consultation with Clinical Director.
  • Collaborate with members of the multi-disciplinary treatment team to ensure effective delivery of a full spectrum of clinical services.
  • Comply with local, state and federal confidentiality laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with professionals both within and outside the agency, as appropriate.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences.
  • Abide by PAX Health code of ethics and model values.
Requirements:
  • Master's in psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field
  • Current license to practice independently in the state of New York
  • Must be able to communicate with patients and staff members through various forms of communication, including email and phone.
  • Computer literacy is required. Must be able to use Word, Excel, etc.
  • Experience on current EHR is required.
  • Substance Use credential is a plus.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in accordance with professional guidelines and regulations.
