Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including long-term care, assisted living, and acute care environments. As an LVN, you will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, delivering essential nursing services while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Duties
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring vital signs.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized patient care plans.
- Conduct patient assessments and document medical histories accurately.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate care for patients with diverse needs.
- Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and promote their overall well-being.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention strategies.
- Participate in triage and emergency response situations as needed.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
Experience
Candidates should have experience or familiarity with the following areas:
- Epic or other EMR/EHR systems for efficient patient documentation.
- Critical care experience in settings such as ICU or Level I/II trauma centers.
- Long-term care, assisted living, or nursing home experience.
- IV infusion techniques, medication administration, and catheter care.
- Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding for accurate medical billing.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, or geriatrics.
- Familiarity with acute pain management, hospice care, home care, or outpatient services.
- Skills in phlebotomy, specimen collection/processing, vital sign monitoring, and basic life support.
