Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations using your strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
  • Manage complex care procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding, ventilator support, and sterile processing techniques.
  • Conduct triage evaluations in urgent care or emergency room settings to prioritize patient needs efficiently.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and post-acute care strategies for optimal recovery outcomes.
  • Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or Cerner for precise documentation of patient care activities and medical records management.
  • Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease in memory or behavioral health settings while ensuring safety and dignity.
  • Support infection control protocols and participate in quality improvement initiatives aligned with NCQA standards.

Qualifications

  • Valid LVN license in good standing with the state licensing board.
  • Proven experience working with diverse patient populations across settings such as long-term care, hospitals, or assisted living communities.
  • Critical care experience preferred, including ICU or Level I/II trauma center exposure; hospital medicine experience is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation.
  • Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/10) for proper documentation and billing procedures.
  • Strong skills in patient assessment, medication administration—including injections—and IV infusion techniques.
  • Ability to perform phlebotomy, venipuncture, catheter care, and sterile techniques confidently.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and with patients requiring specialized dementia or hospice care. Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
