Licensed Vocational Nurse 2p/10p

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. The LVN will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of patients and support their medical needs.

Duties

• Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs to evaluate health status.
• Assist with daily living activities, ensuring comfort and dignity for patients.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management, medication administration, and treatment options.
• Perform procedures such as IV insertion, catheter care, phlebotomy, and wound care as needed.
• Support patients with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and geriatrics.

Experience
Candidates should have experience or familiarity with the following areas:

• Epic EMR systems and other EHR systems for medical documentation.
• Critical care experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers.
• Long-term care experience in nursing homes or assisted living facilities.
• Hospital experience in acute care settings, including emergency medicine and ICU.
• Knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for accurate medical records.
• Experience in hospice care, pain management, pediatrics, or home health settings is a plus.
• Familiarity with procedures such as ventilator management, tube feeding, suturing, and specimen collection. This position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about nursing and committed to providing exceptional patient care across diverse healthcare environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31.00 - $35.00 per hour
