Ventura Wound Care is a mobile practice providing advanced wound management throughout Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. Our physician-led team delivers personalized, evidence-based treatment with a focus on improving comfort, healing outcomes, and quality of life for our patients. We partner closely with home health agencies, primary care providers, and community organizations to ensure continuity of care.

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our growing team. This hybrid role includes performing wound care in the field, assisting in our medical office, administering non-contact ultrasound wound therapy (UltraMIST), and serving as a liaison between our clinical team and community partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform wound assessments, dressing changes, and other LVN-appropriate wound care interventions under physician or NP/PA supervision.
  • Administer UltraMIST non-contact low-frequency ultrasound therapy to patients in clinic and home settings (training provided).
  • Assist with patient intake, documentation, and coordination of care in the office.
  • Support providers during wound evaluations and minor procedures.
  • Communicate with referring physicians, home health agencies, and patients’ families to ensure smooth care coordination.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic health record (EHR) documentation.
  • Participate in community outreach and represent Ventura Wound Care at partner events or facility visits.

Qualifications

  • Active California LVN license in good standing (required).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for field visits (required).
  • Wound care experience preferred (home health, SNF, or clinic setting).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in patient homes and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Training in UltraMIST and wound-care protocols provided upon hire.

  • Competitive hourly rate ($36–$42/hour) depending on experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $36.00 - $42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 35 per week
