At Jay Franco and Sons, we’ve been turning bedrooms, bathrooms, and beach days into something families remember — since 1942. As the home textiles partner behind some of the world’s biggest entertainment brands (Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, Warner Bros., Netflix, and more), our products live in millions of homes across the world.
We’re hiring a Licensing Analyst to join our Licensing team in our New York City office, reporting directly to our VP of Licensing. If you love numbers, love brands, and want a front-row seat to how licensed products move from boardroom to bedroom — this is your spot.
About the Role
You’ll be the analytical engine behind our licensing business — owning the forecasts, the variance reporting, and the financial story we tell our retail customers (Target, Walmart, Amazon) and our brand partners (Disney, Marvel, Warner Bros., Netflix, Star Wars). You’ll work daily in Excel, lead forecast calls with global partners, and produce the insights that drive multi-million-dollar buying and licensing decisions.
This is a high-visibility role for someone early in their career who wants real ownership and exposure to senior leadership.
What You’ll Do
- Forecast for our brand partners — Prepare and deliver sales forecasts to entertainment licensors including Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, Warner Bros., Netflix, and others.
- Forecast for our retail customers — Build wholesale forecasts across Jay Franco’s North American and European retail accounts (Target, Walmart, Amazon, and others).
- Own the analysis — Run forecasting analysis in Excel against sales performance, and explain the “why” behind the numbers.
- Drive the quarterly cycle — Quarterly forecasting, budget vs. actual variance reporting, and performance commentary on what’s working and what isn’t.
- Track Minimum Guarantees — Manage our internal Minimum Guarantee financial tracker.
- Run the Wednesday retail report — Send the weekly retail sales report to our licensing partners every Wednesday.
- Lead the forecast conversation — Drive forecast calls both internally (with our sales team) and externally (with brand partners like Disney).
- Make the data presentable — Build dashboards, graphs, and presentation visuals for the Licensing leadership team.
- Live in Excel — Pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, complex formulas, and large dataset analysis — daily.

- Strong written and verbal communication; able to present numbers clearly to internal teams and external partners.
