Lien Resolution Administrator - Mass Tort (KY, TN, TX, PA, FLA, AL, NC, IL, MI Residents Only)

A Mass Tort Lien Resolution Administrator - Spreadsheet (LRA-SS) acts as the main point of contact between Med Lien Solutions and insurance companies, subrogation firms, and other lien holders. LRA-SSs work in a team with other LRA-SSs. The LRA-SS will report to a Team Leader. The LRA-SS may also interact with a Med Lien Solutions Attorneys, Lien Negotiation Specialists, and Lien Resolution Managers. While the LRA-SS is expected to primarily handle data in bulk, typically in spreadsheet format, it is possible that the LRA-SS may also be asked to process individual claims as needed. An LRA-SS is unlikely to have any customer contact on behalf of Med Lien Solutions except when answering incoming calls.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Lien Holder Contact

  • Contact subrogation firms, lien holders, and health insurers to ensure Med Lien Solutions receives requested information from those organizations;
  • Utilize telephone, email, fax, shared folders, and online portals to complete any necessary contact and follow-up;
  • Develop relationships with representatives of those organizations to improve and expedite the contact process;
  • Discuss with those organizations’ opportunities for change and other inter-company communication improvements.

Workflow & File Management

  • Gather claimant data to report to lien holders through bulk processes resulting in spreadsheets containing claimant and claim data;
  • Submit claimant data to lien holders to obtain eligibility or liens via email, fax, shared folders, and online portals;
  • Process spreadsheets from lien holders that contain eligibility or lien information by summarizing data per claimant for the purpose of input to CTS;
  • Input lien data received using bulk processing spreadsheet tools;
  • Track incoming and outgoing lien data;
  • Maintain workflows by studying Med Lien Solutions methods and, when appropriate, discussing improvements to those workflows with managers;
  • Maintain Med Lien Solutions’ proprietary software, the Claim Tracking System (CTS), including claim information updates and workflow management;
  • Ensure smooth operations and workflow procedures through data discovery and detection of subrogates’ patterns during normal day-to-day work;
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing team-related results;

Information Receipt

  • Receive all new information, liens, subrogation information requests, etc. via mail, email, fax, shared folders, and online portals;
  • Organize and disburse received information to appropriate team members while simultaneously updating the CTS system to indicate such receipt and disbursement of information;
  • Maintain data accuracy throughout the process;
  • File information into appropriate electronic locations.

Qualifications

The pre-requisite experience for this position is prior Lien Resolution Administrator experience. The qualified candidate will be proficient in the position of Lien Resolution Administrator. An LRA-SS must have a comfortable working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications including Outlook, Teams, as well as the ability to utilize web-based systems as the Med Lien Solutions Claim Tracking System. Excel proficiency is required for this position.

Teamwork is important to the success of Med Lien Solutions, so strong interpersonal skills are a must. An LRA-SS must be self-motivated and willing to work with the ebb and flow of an ever-changing task list. Outgoing personalities are more likely to succeed in this role when considering the high volume of subrogation contact - including that on the telephone.

An LRA-SS will be expected to become knowledgeable in the Med Lien Solutions workflows. He or she will need to adapt to various subrogation firms’ roadblocks and even internal changes as the process of lien resolution is always evolving. They must have or develop, within 90 days of employment, a solid understanding of the workflows we implement. Finally, an LRA must understand the reasons for certain actions we take, including putting the customer first and acknowledging the customers; perception of what we do is nearly as important as the actual successes.

The services provided by Med Lien Solutions are designed to bridge the gap between settlement and disbursement in those personal injury actions where medical liens and subrogation require an extraordinary amount of time to resolve. A tremendous amount of lien resolution work is typically required throughout a case and after settlement. It is vital to monitor, track, and categorize payments made by Medicare, Medicaid, ERISA, and Private Health Insurance. There are a multitude of additional steps involved before a lien becomes payable – Med Lien Solutions organizes and completes those steps on behalf of law firms around the country using the most technologically advanced systems in the industry.

Pay

LRA2 Pay Band. If the candidate is in the LRA2 or Sr LRA Pay Band, then the position is considered to be lateral.
