Life Insurance Application Specialist

Requirement

We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running with little training in the life insurance area. The successful applicant have life insurance application experience and experience dealing with life insurance underwriting departments.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented, motivated Life Insurance Application Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will support our advisors and clients by preparing and processing life insurance applications from start to finish. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys administrative work, working with clients and carriers, and ensuring applications move smoothly through the underwriting process.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit life insurance applications and required documents to carriers.
• Communicate with clients, advisors, and insurance carriers to collect missing information and follow up on outstanding requirements.
• Review applications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance before submission.
• Track all cases from application submission through policy issuance.
• Maintain organized records, case notes, and status updates in internal systems.
• Assist with ordering medical exams, attending physician statements (APS), and other underwriting requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service and prompt follow-up to clients and advisors.
• Support general office and administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines at once.
• Comfort working with forms, documentation, and data entry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Permanent, Seasonal, Temporary

Pay: $53,219.28 - $64,092.03 per year

Expected hours: 30 per week
