Life Insurance Sales Manager

Duties

  • Develop and implement effective outside sales strategies to identify new business opportunities within the life insurance market
  • Lead, motivate, and train a team of insurance sales agents to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Conduct negotiations with prospective clients, explaining policy benefits clearly and transparently to facilitate informed decision-making
  • Manage sales administration tasks, including tracking leads, processing applications, and maintaining accurate client records
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create outreach campaigns that attract diverse customer segments
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs to tailor sales approaches for maximum engagement
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring high satisfaction levels
  • Manage overall life insurance sales, marketing and distribution to Gordon Marketing agents
  • Develop, obtain and report life sales metrics and results regularly to executive management team
  • Create and implement an annual life insurance sales marketing plan
  • Establish effective working relationships with all life carriers to increase efficiency, effective sales and consistent positive growth with each of them
  • Mentor, coach and train GM Marketers to better understand life insurance products and the markets they reach
  • Provide direct assistance to the National Life Insurance Marketer(s) (FU & FE Life) GM Marketer team and directly to agents when needed with quoting and placing “fully underwritten” term and permanent life insurance
  • Help Marketers and agents with Ul, GUL, IUL, and FE quoting and providing education on how those products are designed and sold
  • Provide training and support in life insurance advanced design, case creation, sales techniques/ideas such as estate planning, key man, buy/sell, deferred Comp, Exec Bonus, Golden Handcuff, qualified plans with life insurance and premium finance, etc.
  • Work with CSO (Randy Pierson) to establish consistent training programs direct to agencies and agents working with Gordon Marketing
  • Work with Key Accounts Manager to formalize and strengthen relationships with Keu Accounts and grow their life insurance production
  • Track new business submission opportunities by individual agents and work with them to create repeatable production sources
  • Conduct virtual and live training events for agents
  • Create, organize and execute product and sales initiative campaigns to agents such as email blasts, text blasts, etc.
  • Write weekly newsletter content
  • Assist with Gordon Marketing website updates and content
  • Drive daily activity in new life agent prospecting and recruitment
  • Engage in Life & Annuity Expo event organization and participation

Requirements

  • 5+ years working in life insurance sales with agents
  • Proven experience in outside sales, retail sales, or insurance sales with a strong track record of meeting or surpassing targets
  • Emphasis on working with life insurance agents
  • Strong analysis skills to interpret market data and customer feedback for strategic planning
  • Knowledge of sales administration processes, benefits administration, and marketing techniques

Pay: $58,197.79 - $99,087.66 per year
