Lifeguard

A lifeguard's job is to ensure a safe and enjoyable aquatic environment by supervising swimmers, enforcing rules, providing first aid, and performing rescues when needed. They also maintain pool cleanliness and equipment, monitor water quality, and educate patrons on safety procedures. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervision: Monitor swimming areas to prevent accidents and enforce pool rules and water safety policies.
  • Rescue Operations: Respond to swimmers in distress or danger, performing water rescues to prevent drowning.
  • Emergency Care: Administer first aid and CPR/artificial respiration as needed for injuries or medical emergencies.
  • Facility Maintenance: Inspect and maintain the cleanliness of the pool and surrounding areas, as well as ensure the safety and readiness of emergency equipment.
  • Water Quality: Test water to ensure appropriate chlorine and pH levels for safety.
  • Emergency Planning: Follow established emergency action plans and procedures.
  • Instruction & Assistance: Provide swimming lessons or coaching and offer general assistance to patrons.

Required Skills and Qualities

  • Alertness & Attention to Detail: The ability to observe and identify potential safety issues.
  • Physical Fitness: Must be agile, strong, and able to perform water rescues.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification: Must be certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid procedures.
  • Strong Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with swimmers, patrons, and other staff.
  • Responsibility: A strong sense of responsibility for the safety of others.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,400.00 - AED1,500.00 per month
