Job Title: Lifeguard
Job Summary:
We are seeking a responsible and attentive Lifeguard to ensure the safety of all guests at
our aquatic facility. The ideal candidate is alert, physically fit, and committed to
maintaining a secure and enjoyable environment by preventing accidents and responding
effectively in emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor pool or waterfront areas to ensure the safety of swimmers and guests
- Enforce facility rules and regulations to prevent accidents
- Recognize and respond quickly to signs of distress or emergency situations
- Perform water rescues, first aid, and CPR as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool deck and surrounding areas
- Conduct routine safety inspections of equipment and report hazards
- Provide excellent customer service and assist guests as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Age 16+
- Current Lifeguard certification (e.g., Red Cross or equivalent)
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification required
- Strong swimming skills and physical endurance
- Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations
- Excellent observation and communication skills
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous lifeguarding or aquatic experience
- Knowledge of water safety practices and emergency procedures
Work Environment:
- Outdoor pool setting
- Exposure to varying weather conditions
Job Title: Lifeguard/Swim Instructor
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dependable and energetic Lifeguard & Swim Instructor to ensure
swimmer safety while delivering high-quality swim lessons to participants of all ages and
skill levels. This role combines active lifeguarding duties with teaching water safety and
swimming techniques in a supportive and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise pool or aquatic areas to maintain a safe environment for all guests
- Enforce facility rules and respond quickly to emergencies
- Conduct swim lessons for individuals and groups, from beginners to advanced
swimmers
- Teach water safety, stroke development, and confidence in the water
- Assess participant skill levels and track progress over time
- Provide clear instructions, demonstrations, and constructive feedback
- Perform water rescues, administer first aid, and provide CPR/AED when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of pool areas and teaching equipment
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and participants
Required Qualifications:
- Age 16+
- Current Lifeguard certification (e.g., Red Cross or equivalent)
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification required
- Strong swimming ability and physical fitness
- Ability to work with children, teens, and adults of varying skill levels
- Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stay calm and act decisively in emergency situations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience teaching swim lessons or working in aquatics
- Previous experience working with youth in childcare, babysitting, etc.
- Swim Instructor certification (WSI or equivalent)
- Knowledge of different teaching techniques and learning styles
- Experience working in a customer service or youth-focused environment
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
