As part of their ongoing expansion, they are currently seeking experienced Lift / Elevator Service Technicians to strengthen their operations and ensure the highest standards of performance, safety, and service quality

Position: Lift / Elevator Technician
Location: Doha, Qatar
Vacancies: 5
Experience: 5–8 years
Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Salary: QAR 3,000 – 5,000 (basic, depending on position and experience)
Working Hours: 8 hours per day (overtime applicable beyond 8 hours)
Working Days: 6 days per week

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Installation: Install and assemble elevators, escalators, and related components in new and existing buildings according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of elevator systems to identify potential issues, assess the condition of components, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks and repairs on elevator systems, including troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, replacing faulty parts, and ensuring optimal performance.
  • Testing: Conduct tests on newly installed or repaired elevators to ensure they meet safety and performance standards. Adjust settings and components as needed.
  • Emergency Repairs: Respond to emergency service calls to address elevator malfunctions or breakdowns promptly. Diagnose problems and implement effective solutions to restore functionality.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations while working on elevators, ensuring that all installations and repairs meet industry safety standards and local building codes.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including service reports, inspection records, and parts inventory.
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate with building owners, managers, or occupants to understand specific needs, provide updates on repair or maintenance progress, and offer recommendations for system improvements.
  • Upgrades and Modernization: Stay informed about new technologies and industry advancements. Propose and implement upgrades or modernization projects to improve the efficiency and safety of existing elevator systems.
  • Training: Stay current with industry training and certifications to enhance technical skills and stay informed about the latest developments in elevator technology.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other technicians and professionals, such as electricians and engineers, to ensure the seamless integration of elevator systems into the overall building infrastructure.
  • Customer Education: Provide guidance to building owners and operators on proper elevator usage, routine maintenance practices, and safety protocols.

Elevator Technicians play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of vertical transportation systems, and their responsibilities encompass various technical, mechanical, and customer service aspects.
