Lift Truck Mechanic

Job Summary: A Lift Truck Mechanic is responsible for performing periodic maintenance, repair, replacement and troubleshooting on various models of material handling equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Inspect, service, and repair forklifts

· Disassemble, overhaul, repair and reassemble engine, transmission, differential, clutch, brake, electrical system, fuel system, and any other part related to material handling equipment

· Perform scheduled equipment service ranging from minor to major service

· Use all tools of the trade, including precision instruments, welding equipment, shop machines, overhead hoists and power tools in making adjustments and repairs

· Complete accurately all required internal and customer driven paperwork, including work orders, safety inspections, timesheets

· Ensure company equipment and tools comply with safety and cleanliness standards

· Demonstrate exceptional communication and customer service skills

· Own and maintain up to date tools of the trade

Educational Requirements:

· Relevant experience desired

· High School diploma or equivalent

· Basic computer skills

Physical Requirements: must be able to meet the following physical demands

· Walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, squat, kneel, twist

· Lifting requirement to a maximum of 75 lbs.

· Power grasping

Other Requirements:

· Valid California driver’s license/good driving record

· Ability to work independently

· Good Communication and Customer Service Skills

· Background Check

· Drug Screen/Physical

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.80 - $36.50 per hour
