Liftgate Service Technician

We are looking for a motivated technical-minded professional with customer skills, to join our team at our new US Headquarters for the southeast region. As a part of the Liftgate Service Technician, you will learn about the DHOLLANDIA culture and create a solid foundation for your professional growth and advancement within our company. Throughout your training, you will continually work with every department of our business, including Technical Support, Operations, Engineering, Quality Control, and Customer Service.

Upon starting, you will work your way through a formal training program to familiarize yourself with our products, procedures, and daily operations. From there, you will train directly with our Engineering / Technical Department to develop a strong technical understanding of how our products work with the goal of helping the company and our customers as a Liftgate Service Technician.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• This individual will be primarily responsible for supporting field concerns with the products whether by phone or in person.
• Responsible for helping the team ensure all products meet quality standards before shipping them to customers.
• Responsible for in-house service visits (as needed) and repairing damaged liftgate products.
• Should be able to support customers in troubleshooting technical issues with the product via phone or in person, provide installation training, and proactively support the DHOLLANDIA team.
• Be well spoken and easy to understand over the phone when interacting with customers.
• Be open to taking on more responsibilities as needed and be willing to grow with the company as our presence in the United States increases. Cross training is particularly important in our culture and provides opportunities to gain experience within the company.
• Be initiative-taking in looking for and discussing ways to improve the procedures and development of the domestic branch of the company.
• Assist other team members as needed.
• Special projects as required by management.
• Manage and model the safety culture and strive for 100% compliance concerning safety policies and procedures.

SOFTWARE AND SHOP SKILLS:

Software: Basic MS Office, MS Teams, Windows 10, DHOLLANDIA proprietary systems (EDP/CRM systems).

Tools: Be able to work on / with the product (as needed) for technical / troubleshooting purposes. This will require the use of basic tools.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Reside in North Carolina
• Candidate must have 3 to 5 years experience in transportation and commercial vehicle industries.
• Candidate will be required to travel.
• Prior experience in equipment manufacturing, fabrication, installation, or repair preferred.
• Advanced knowledge in welding, mechanics and hydraulic systems is strongly desired.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems is needed.
• Good written and verbal communication skills are needed.
• Multitasking skills are essential.
• Willingness to work with others and be able to take direction from multiple sources.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and infrequently move up to fifty pounds.
• Intermediate industrial equipment knowledge and computer skills.
• Flexible and successful in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidate must provide a clean MVR for operations of company vehicles.
