Lifting Supervisor

We are seeking a qualified Lifting Supervisor with valid LEEA appointed and proven experience in road construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for planning, supervising, and ensuring safe lifting operations in compliance with project requirements, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise all lifting operations at road construction sites.
• Ensure lifting activities are carried out in accordance with approved lifting plans and method statements.
• Coordinate with crane operators, riggers, signalers, and site engineers.
• Verify lifting equipment certifications and ensure they are valid and compliant.
• Conduct pre-lift briefings and toolbox talks.
• Monitor weather conditions and site safety before and during lifting operations.
• Ensure proper rigging techniques and safe load handling.
• Stop lifting operations immediately if unsafe conditions are identified.
• Maintain records of lifting activities, inspections, and permits.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, project safety standards, and local regulations.
• Liaise with client representatives and project management regarding lifting activities.

Requirements:

• Valid LEEA Lifting Supervisor certification.
• Minimum [3–5] years of experience in road construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of lifting equipment, cranes, and rigging practices.
• Familiarity with lifting plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
• Ability to supervise multiple lifting activities simultaneously.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of HSE regulations and safe lifting procedures.
• Physically fit and able to work in site conditions.
