Light Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, mechanical knowledge, and experience in service technician roles. This position involves working on various HVAC equipment, performing maintenance and repairs, and ensuring optimal system performance for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on HVAC systems to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Repair or replace defective components such as compressors, motors, and thermostats.
• Perform work around busy kitchens.
• Work with refrigeration systems including as needed.
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welders for equipment repair and maintenance.
• Collaborate with property maintenance teams to address HVAC-related concerns in residential or commercial properties.
• Document service performed and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience 3+ years as an HVAC / Refrigeration Technician.
• Strong understanding of HVAC design principles and refrigeration processes.
• Familiarity with appliance repair techniques and field service operations.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to HVAC systems.
• Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance tasks.
• Experience with boiler systems is a plus.
• Valid driver's license is required for travel to job sites.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
