LIGHT VEHICLE DRIVER

Good day, we are seeking a reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious Light Vehicle Driver to transport passengers and/or goods. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and secure transportation of assigned items or individuals, while maintaining the vehicle in excellent condition and adhering to all Qatar traffic laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Driving and Transportation:

Safely operate a light vehicle (car, SUV, minivan) to transport passengers, company executives, guests, or light goods.

Plan routes using GPS and knowledge of Qatari roads to ensure timely arrivals.

Assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle and handling their luggage if required.

Run company errands such as delivering documents, making bank deposits, or picking up supplies.

2. Vehicle Maintenance:

Perform daily pre-trip inspections (checking oil, water, tires, brakes, lights).

Ensure the vehicle is always clean, fueled, and ready for use.

Schedule and oversee regular maintenance, servicing, and annual inspections.

Report any accidents, mechanical issues, or damage to the management immediately.

3. Safety and Compliance:

Strictly adhere to all Qatar traffic laws, regulations, and speed limits.

Maintain a valid Qatari Driving License and ensure all vehicle documents (registration, insurance, Mulkiya) are always present and valid.

Practice defensive driving techniques and ensure the safety of all passengers.

Maintain a clean driving record with no major traffic violations.

4. Administrative Duties:

Maintain an accurate and up-to-date logbook of trips, mileage, and fuel consumption.

Handle vehicle-related paperwork and ensure compliance with company policies.

5. Professionalism:

Maintain a professional appearance and a courteous, respectful demeanor at all times.

Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality regarding all business and passenger matters.

Be punctual, reliable, and flexible with working hours, including overtime if required.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Proven experience as a Light Vehicle Driver. Experience in a corporate or private family setting is a plus.

License: A mandatory, valid Qatari Driving License (often with a light vehicle classification).

Knowledge:

Excellent knowledge of Qatar's road network, traffic laws, and driving regulations.

Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and the ability to perform minor repairs.

Skills:

Defensive driving skills.

Punctual and reliable.

Good time management skills.

Basic English communication skills (understanding instructions, reading signs). Knowledge of Arabic is a significant advantage.

Polite and professional customer service attitude.

Physically fit to handle luggage and remain seated for extended periods.

Working Conditions

The role typically involves long periods of sitting while driving.

Working hours may be irregular and include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and overtime.

May be required to work in various weather conditions common to Qatar (extreme heat, humidity, occasional rain).
