Light Vehicle Driver

Light vehicle drivers are responsible for safely operating vehicles to transport passengers or goods while adhering to traffic laws, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and ensuring timely deliveries. Key duties include conducting daily vehicle inspections (brakes, fuel, tires), assisting with loading/unloading, maintaining logs, and providing professional customer service.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Vehicle Operation & Safety:
• Operate light motor vehicles (under 1.5 tons) safely according to traffic regulations.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure roadworthiness (e.g., oil, fuel, brakes, tires).
• Report any maintenance issues, damage, or required repairs to supervisors immediately.
• Ensure the vehicle is clean and tidy at all times.
• Logistics & Transportation:
• Transport passengers or goods to designated locations, ensuring punctuality.
• Plan efficient routes, utilizing navigation tools to minimize time and fuel usage.
• Load and unload cargo securely to prevent damage.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and, if applicable, trip documents.
• Customer Service & Professionalism:
• Maintain a polite, professional, and calm demeanor when interacting with clients.
• Respect passenger privacy and confidentiality.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license for light vehicles.
• Excellent driving skills and clean driving record.
• Good knowledge of local road networks and traffic laws.
• Basic maintenance skills and ability to perform physical tasks like lifting cargo.
• Effective communication and time-management skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
