Light Vehicle Driver

Department: Field Operations / Survey Team

Reports To: Survey Supervisor / Operations Manager

Job Summary

The Survey Company Driver is responsible for safely transporting survey teams, equipment, and materials to and from project sites. This role supports field operations by ensuring timely arrivals, maintaining vehicle readiness, and assisting surveyors with basic logistical tasks when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely drive survey team members to various project locations, including remote or off-road areas.
• Transport and handle survey equipment (e.g., total stations, GPS units, tripods) with care.
• Plan routes and ensure timely arrival at job sites.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness, and fuel levels.
• Maintain accurate vehicle logs, mileage records, and fuel consumption reports.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
• Assist survey team with loading/unloading equipment and basic site setup when needed.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding delays, incidents, or vehicle issues.
• Ensure all required permits, licenses, and vehicle documentation are up to date.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid driver’s license Light driving license.
• Minimum [2–3] years of professional driving experience, preferably in construction, engineering, or survey environments.
• Good knowledge of local routes and road regulations.
• Ability to drive in varied terrains (desert, construction sites, off-road conditions).
• Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance.
• Physically fit to assist with loading and unloading equipment.
• Strong sense of responsibility and safety awareness.
• Basic communication skills in [English/other required languages].

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with survey or construction teams.
• Defensive driving certification.
• Familiarity with GPS/navigation tools.

Working Conditions
