Lighthouse Project Manager

Role:

In September 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources launched the Industrial Lighthouses program to help leading national factories adopt Industry 4.0 technologies and gain global recognition through the World Economic Forum’s Global Lighthouse Network (GLN).


On May 28, 2025, the Ministry honored Riyadh Cement as one of the top 10 companies out of 1,300 for excellence and commitment to industrial transformation, during the launch of the Advanced Manufacturing and Production Center in Riyadh.


Becoming a WEF Lighthouse transforms Riyadh Cement by boosting global visibility, improving productivity and cost-efficiency, enhancing operations with advanced technologies, and fostering continuous improvement through global knowledge exchange.


The Lighthouse Project Manager leads the execution of digital transformation projects using agile methodologies, ensuring timely delivery, resource alignment, and stakeholder engagement. Reporting to the Business Excellence Director, the role serves as the central coordination and follow-up point across internal teams and external partners, driving innovation, tracking performance, and enabling cross-functional collaboration to achieve strategic digital goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning, scheduling, and progress tracking of digital initiatives across plant, IT/OT, and operations.
  • Ensure timely availability of resources including people, tools, and technologies.
  • Maintain alignment with project scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Act as the vocal point for coordination among internal teams, external partners, and leadership.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support implementation, testing, validation, and integration activities.
  • Organize structured reporting, data sharing, and documentation.
  • Monitor KPIs, conduct ROI analysis, resolve bottlenecks, and contribute to operational excellence.

Requirements

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, IT, or related field; master’s preferred.
  • PMP, Agile, or equivalent certification.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in project management, digital transformation, or IT/OT integration.
  • Experience in automation, process optimization, and smart manufacturing.
  • Proven ability in KPI tracking, ROI analysis, and operational excellence.
