Sunrise Oasis Lighting is seeking a talented and creative Lighting Design Engineer to join our growing team. You will play a key role in all aspects of the lighting design process, from initial concept and design development to final installation and commissioning.
- Conduct lighting studies and lux calculations using industry-standard software (Dialux evo).
- Specify lighting fixtures for a variety of interior and exterior design projects, considering both aesthetics and technical requirements.
- Utilize 3D modeling software (3Ds Max) to create layouts, count LED lights, and design interior and exterior spaces.
- Generate realistic renderings of lighting designs using Lumion, showcasing materials, textures, and lighting effects.
- Prepare and organize lighting design proposals, specifications, lighting layouts, and calculations (using AutoCAD and Dialux evo).
- Review and evaluate architectural, electrical/lighting drawings, and specifications to develop detailed lighting designs with various light fittings and accessories.
- Design lighting systems and prepare shop drawings, control schematic diagrams, and wiring diagrams.
- Engage in technical discussions with consultants and contractors to ensure coordination during project execution.
- Calculate LPD (Lighting Power Density) for projects.
- Manage multiple projects, multi-task effectively, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Communicate with lighting manufacturers regarding design issues or requesting custom fixtures based on client needs.
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Lighting Design, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in lighting design or a relevant field.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software (3Ds Max).
- Proficiency in lighting calculation software (Dialux evo).
- Proficiency in rendering software (Lumion).
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles as applied to lighting systems.
- Experience with interior and/or exterior design is a plus.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to quality.
