Lighting Designer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Lighting Designer to bring creative visions to life through expertly crafted lighting solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and implementing lighting schemes that enhance visual storytelling across a variety of projects, including nightclub and private events. Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive lighting concepts aligned with project goals, incorporating technical specifications and artistic vision
• Collaborate with our internal team and clients to ensure lighting enhances overall design intent
• Create detailed lighting layouts and visualizations using advanced digital design tools such as LightKey and Madmapper.
• Select appropriate lighting fixtures, controls, and color schemes based on principles of color theory and visual design
• Produce compelling presentations using Adobe Creative Suite programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects to communicate ideas effectively
• Oversee installation processes to ensure precise execution of lighting plans while adhering to safety standards
• Conduct site inspections and adjust designs as needed to optimize lighting performance and aesthetic impact

Requirements

• Proven experience in digital design, art direction, or related fields with a strong portfolio showcasing lighting projects or visual environments
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Adobe After Effects, and other relevant software such as SketchUp or Maya for 3D modeling and animation
• Solid understanding of typography, color theory, motion graphics, and visual design principles
• Familiarity with technical aspects of lighting equipment, controls, and electrical systems
• Knowledge of web design languages like HTML and CSS is a plus for multimedia integration
• Experience with print advertising, illustration, interior or production design is advantageous
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate creative concepts into technical drawings and detailed specifications
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments
• On-site set-up and strike.
• Experience with projection mapping is a plus.

Pay: $5,200.00 - $52,000.00 per year
