Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive lighting plans that enhance landscape features, architecture, and outdoor spaces .
• Collaborate with clients, architects, and landscape teams to understand project goals and translate them into innovative lighting and landscape designs.
• Incorporate sustainable design principles by selecting eco-friendly materials, energy-efficient lighting fixtures.
• Oversee project management tasks including budgeting, scheduling, construction estimating, and coordinating with contractors during installation.
• Support landscape maintenance planning by designing hardscape features such as patios, pathways, retaining walls, and other structural elements.
• Review construction progress to ensure adherence to design specifications while addressing challenges related to landscaping or lighting installation.
• Stay current on industry trends in horticulture, landscaping practices, and new technologies in lighting design to continuously enhance project quality.

Skills

• Deep understanding of horticulture principles combined with landscaping techniques for sustainable outdoor environments.
• Experience in construction processes including estimating costs, project management, and working with contractors during installation phases.
• Ability to develop detailed construction documents that meet safety standards and environmental regulations.
