Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Lighting Retrofitter to join our team. In this role, you will install, retrofit, and upgrade lighting and control systems in commercial buildings, including schools, office buildings, and public facilities. If you are passionate about sustainable energy solutions and enjoy working with cutting-edge lighting technologies, we would love to have you on board.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install LED lamps or LED kits into existing fixtures by removing ballasts and re-wiring.
• Install new LED fixtures for both interior and exterior applications.
• Set up wired and wireless occupancy controls, including sensors, power packs, and low-voltage wiring.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues.
• Read and understand lighting drawings and installation schedules.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
• Ensure high-quality standards are met throughout each installation.
• Travel to various project sites across the Mid-Atlantic region.

Qualifications:

• A license journeyman electrician preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in electrical work or relevant technical training.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for electrical systems.
• Ability to work overhead for extended periods and lift to 50 pounds.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schedules.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code is a plus.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to operate lift equipment, such as boom lifts and scissors lifts.
• Must be flexible with work hours and available for frequent travel.
• Must be able to pass drug and background checks.

Compensation:
Hourly rates range from $25/hr. to $40/hr., depending on experience and qualifications. Pay structure options include:

• Piece rate pay system.
• Electrical wage scale pay system.
• Company wage rates.
