Position Overview

You will own and optimize our inventory system inside Lightspeed Retail (X-Series).

This role directly influences:

• Gross margin performance
• Product selection strategy
• Purchasing decisions
• Install efficiency
• Dealer and vendor relationships

This is a high-impact role with room for growth into expanded purchasing authority based on performance.

Core Responsibilities Lightspeed X Inventory Management

• Manage full product catalog inside Lightspeed X
• Maintain SKU accuracy, cost data, and retail pricing
• Process purchase orders and receiving
• Perform inventory adjustments and reconciliations
• Conduct cycle counts and resolve discrepancies
• Run inventory valuation and performance reports
• Clean up duplicate SKUs and pricing inconsistencies

Margin & Pricing Analysis

• Analyze cost vs retail pricing
• Monitor and maintain target gross margins
• Identify underperforming SKUs
• Adjust pricing strategically
• Evaluate dealer pricing vs real-world retail pricing
• Ensure MAP compliance where applicable

Purchasing & Replenishment

• Create and manage purchase orders in Lightspeed X
• Purchase based on:
• Sales velocity
• Install demand
• Margin targets
• Set reorder points
• Reduce overstock and dead inventory

Inventory Lifecycle Optimization

• Identify fast-moving, slow-moving, and stagnant inventory
• Flag aging inventory (12+ months)
• Recommend and execute:
• Bundles
• Promotions
• Clearance strategies
• Phase-outs

Product & Package Strategy (Preferred)

• Structure offerings into Good / Better / Best tiers
• Help design clean product packages for customers
• Align inventory with brand positioning and sales clarity

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience with Lightspeed Retail (X-Series)
• Experience managing retail inventory inside POS systems
• Understanding of gross margin calculations
• Purchase order processing and receiving experience
• Inventory reporting and analysis experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and make decisions

Strongly Preferred

• Automotive or car audio industry experience
• Dealer account management
• Woo Commerce or eCommerce sync knowledge
• Lean inventory / Kanban experience
