Job Overview:

This position performs program eligibility intake for the LIHEAP Program under the direct supervision of the Division Director, Special Programs Coordinator, or designee.

  • Participate in ongoing job trainings as required for the position.
  • Complete orientation
  • Complete Customer Service training
  • Participate in all other job trainings as scheduled.
  • Adhere to the policies and procedures as outlined in Coastal Georgia Area Community Action Authority, Inc. Personnel Policy and Procedure Manual, Safety Manual and those policies and procedures outlines in the program guidelines under the which this position exists.
  • Provide appointments with clients.
  • Assure clients have correct and updated documentation required for program participation.
  • Call clients in reference to application updates
  • Answer phones and client questions
  • Records and copy clients personal and financial data to determine eligibility.
  • Interview applicant and complete the energy assistance application.
  • Provide information to consumers on available program options and inform the consumer of their legal rights.
  • Data entry into the Agency’s EasyTrak System

Job Requirements:

  • Must have well developed verbal and written communication skills; customer service skill with all populations served by the Agency; excellent reading, writing, and spelling ability; and must be skilled at handling multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 20 to 30 lbs. (trunk strength). The job also requires hand dexterity to write for long periods and requires normal range of vision and hearing or eye-hand coordination. In addition, the job requires walking, standing, sitting for long periods.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour
