Linden Airport Tour Shuttle Driver & Ramp Agent

Helicopter Flight Services (HeliNY) is a premier NYC & Linden, NJ Helicopter Tour Company and we are looking for a full-time, permanent position for a Customer Shuttle Driver & Airport Ramp Agent. The position requires verbally safety briefing passengers, coordinating & directing ramp movements for arriving and departing helicopters. Candidate must deliver a proactive, personalized service experience to aviation clientele. Excellent interpersonal & verbal communication skills are required. Must be punctual with a high level of customer service skills, multilingual is a huge plus and must have the ability to multi task and work as a team.

Responsibilities:

SHUTTLE DRIVER:

• Pick up passengers from the Linden train station and safely drive them to Linden Municipal Airport.
• Safely drop passengers off at door of FBO.
• After flight, meet passengers at FBO entrance and escort them into the van and drive them to the Linden train station.
• Responsible for cleanliness of interior & exterior of van.
• Must log every leg driven in Driving Log.
• Responsible for making sure van is fueled.

RAMP AGENT:

• Escort passengers safely and efficiently between the terminal and aircraft.
• Physically & visually ensure that all passengers are properly secured with seat belts and that headsets are on accordingly. Assist pilots by providing visual communication signals to ensure safe takeoffs.
• Maintain constant situational awareness around moving aircraft and equipment.
• Deliver clear, professional verbal instructions and assistance to passengers.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
• Ability to remain alert, safety-conscious, and attentive at all times.
• Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Comfortable working in a high-noise environment around jet engines and machinery.
• Aviation experience is a plus but not required.
• Must have a clear Motor Vehicle Record and pass a pre-employment drug test and participate in ongoing random drug & alcohol screening.
• Excellent Communication Skills Required - must be able to effectively communicate information and instructions verbally and in a professional manner with the passengers.

Schedule:

• Monday, Friday, Saturday 4:00pm - 9:30pm
• Sunday 11:00am - 9:30pm
• Ability to work extra shifts at our Downtown Manhattan Skyport location
