Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items with attention to detail, consistency, and presentation quality
  • Follow standardized recipes and food safety guidelines to ensure optimal quality and hygiene
  • Assist in menu planning by suggesting creative ideas and seasonal specials
  • Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices are maintained at all times
  • Support kitchen operations during busy service hours by managing multiple orders efficiently
  • Maintain cleanliness of work stations, utensils, and equipment to uphold health standards
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of meals and excellent service

Experience

  • Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
  • Proven background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or catering environment
  • Fine dining experience is a plus, demonstrating skill in upscale food presentation and plating techniques
  • Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation are essential for success in this role
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry is required
  • Experience with menu planning, catering, and serving large groups will set you apart
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
