Duties

  • Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
  • Assist with menu planning and daily meal preparation to ensure timely service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation protocols
  • Handle food with care, ensuring proper food handling techniques are followed at all times
  • Support catering events and special functions with efficient food preparation and serving
  • Use knife skills proficiently for chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients to ensure precision in every dish
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent food service delivery

Skills

  • Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or food industry setting
  • Fine dining experience or extensive restaurant experience preferred, demonstrating high-quality presentation skills
  • Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and catering operations
  • Excellent knife skills coupled with a solid understanding of food safety standards
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills for serving guests and collaborating with team members

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
