Dye’s Walk Country Club is a private facility located in Greenwood, Indiana. We currently have 335 golf members with 250 new members recruited in the last four years. Dye’s Walk Country Club was established in 1961 and we have the privilege of being the first nine holes Pete Dye designed. We have a full-scale restaurant and catering operation.

We are seeking a reliable and energetic individual to assist in daily culinary operations. We pride ourselves on nurturing the creativeness of each individual and including them on menu creation and maintaining a superior culinary experience.

Line Cook Job Responsibilities:

· Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients according to recipes and station requirements. Ensure proper portioning and presentation standards.

· Cooking and Plating: Cook dishes on the assigned station (grill, sauté, fry, etc.). Plate meals attractively and consistently following restaurant guidelines.

· Quality and Safety: Maintain food safety and hygiene standards. Monitor freshness and storage of ingredients.

· Station Management: Keep the workstation clean and organized during service. Restock supplies as needed for smooth operations.

· Collaboration: Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff and chefs. Assist teammates during peak hours to ensure timely service.

· Efficiency and Timing: Work quickly under pressure while maintaining quality. Coordinate timing so dishes for the same table are ready together.

· Compliance: Follow health regulations and kitchen protocols. Adhere to recipes and portion control for cost management.

Line Cook Qualifications/Skills:

  • Basic written and verbal communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Accuracy and speed in executing tasks
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Follows directions and instructions

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One to two years of experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook
  • Certificate in Culinary Arts is a bonus, but not required
  • Experience with various cooking methods and procedures
  • Familiar with industry best practices

Compensation: $16 - $18
