Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
• Assist with menu planning by suggesting innovative dishes and seasonal specials
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety guidelines at all times
• Handle food with care, ensuring proper food handling techniques are followed to prevent contamination
• Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food and ensuring timely service
• Use knife skills effectively for chopping, slicing, dicing, and other prep work
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy service hours

Qualifications

• Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
• Proven background in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant experience within the food industry
• Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
• Skilled in meal preparation, food service, and kitchen operations
• Experience with menu planning, catering, and serving is a plus
• Excellent knife skills and proficiency in basic culinary techniques
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
