Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and measuring spices.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal service and ensure timely delivery of dishes.
- Monitor food quality during cooking processes to ensure consistency and safety.
- Adhere to food handling and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Skills
- Proficient knife skills for efficient food preparation.
- Experience working in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques and methods within the culinary field.
- Strong understanding of food handling practices within the food service industry.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented restaurant environment.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
