Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent knife skills, and experience in fine dining or restaurant environments. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist with menu planning and ingredient preparation to ensure efficient kitchen workflow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and portioning
- Support catering events and special meal preparations as needed
- Serve dishes promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to optimize meal preparation times and quality
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and kitchen operations
Experience
- Previous experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
- Experience in fine dining or restaurant settings demonstrating culinary skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food industry standards
- Strong knife skills and experience with meal preparation and food service operations
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Experience in catering or serving is advantageous but not required
- Familiarity with menu planning, food presentation, and kitchen equipment operation
