Duties

• Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
• Assist in menu planning by suggesting creative dish ideas and ensuring ingredient availability
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
• Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices
• Support catering events and special functions with timely meal preparation and serving
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy service hours
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to ensure continuous kitchen operations

Requirements

• Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or food industry setting
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Culinary experience including menu planning, catering, and serving is a plus

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
