Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards, maintaining consistency and quality.
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients to streamline kitchen operations.
• Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
• Support the team during busy service hours by efficiently managing multiple orders and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff on menu planning ideas, special event catering, and daily specials to enhance the dining experience.
• Maintain proper knife skills for precise cutting, slicing, and portioning of ingredients.
• Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health regulations, dietary restrictions, and customer preferences.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment, particularly in fine dining or catering settings.
• Strong culinary experience with proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety.
• Knowledge of menu planning and meal assembly for diverse dietary needs.
• Excellent knife skills coupled with the ability to work quickly under pressure during peak hours.
• Familiarity with the food industry standards for cleanliness, sanitation, and safety protocols.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
