Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines
• Assist in menu planning and ingredient preparation to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Handle food safely by following proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
• Support food service operations by plating dishes efficiently and accurately for timely delivery
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including knife skills and equipment upkeep
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless flow during busy service periods

Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a related food industry role, preferably in a restaurant or catering setting
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Experience with dietary department or dietary aide responsibilities is a plus
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and servers
• Familiarity with menu planning, food service operations, and culinary best practices
