Job Overview
Join our culinary team as a Line Cook at our neighborhood bar where your passion for food and dedication to excellence will shine! Experience and night time availability is a must!! Looking for 4-5 nights a week. Start time is 3/4 PM. Great 2nd job or under the table cash every week. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes with precision and creativity. Your culinary skills will contribute to delivering memorable dining experiences, ensuring every plate meets our standards of quality and presentation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your kitchen expertise while working in a fast-paced at times, team-oriented environment that values your contributions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
• Assist in meal assembly, ensuring timely and efficient service during busy hours and catering events
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation protocols
• Support menu planning by suggesting improvements based on ingredient availability and customer preferences
• Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service flow
• Assist with catering orders and special event setups as needed

Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices
• Experience with meal planning and catering operations is a plus
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and servers
• Background in dietary department or dietary aide experience is advantageous for understanding special dietary needs
