POSITION:

LINE COOK The Line Cook is responsible for the preparation and execution of menu items while maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, and cleanliness. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their craft, works well in a team-oriented environment, and thrives in a setting that values both efficiency and attention to detail.

This position is part of an exciting new restaurant concept opening within our resort in mid-August 2026. Official start dates are expected to be finalized in early August.

This position requires availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and execute menu items according to established recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines
  • Set up and stock assigned station with all necessary supplies prior to service
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation throughout all shifts
  • Ensure all food is prepared and served in a timely manner to support smooth service flow
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations at all times
  • Properly label, date, and store food items in accordance with FIFO and food safety standards
  • Assist with daily prep tasks including chopping, portioning, marinating, and ingredient preparation
  • Monitor product quality and report any inconsistencies or concerns to kitchen leadership
  • Support inventory control by minimizing waste and using ingredients efficiently
  • Maintain proper use and care of kitchen equipment; report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with kitchen team members and leadership during service
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as needed
  • Support banquet, catering, or special event execution as assigned
  • Maintain awareness of guest dietary restrictions and support safe food handling practices
  • Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-oriented kitchen environment
  • Support additional kitchen duties as assigned based on operational needs

Due to changing operational demands, it may be necessary to undertake various functions that are not specifically related to this position. This individual may be required to carry out additional tasks and duties as needed or as directed. Additionally, employee responsibilities and job descriptions are subject to review and modification.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, weekdays, and holidays as required
  • 1-3 years of kitchen or food preparation experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic required
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
  • Food Handler’s Certification required (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs
  • CPR and first aid certification a plus and /or the willingness to be trained.
  • Ability to walk or stand and move about the resort (both indoors and outdoors) for eight or more hours per day, sit, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb stairs, push and pull items weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • The position requires manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills, the ability to follow written and verbal instructions and procedures, and the capacity to communicate effectively and professionally.

COMPENSATION:

$18.00 - $20.00 / hr
