Line Cook- Garde Manger

The Roosevelt is an award-winning restaurant and bar in the Church Hill neighborhood of Richmond, VA. We are looking for one line cook who possesses a passion for southern cuisine, strong cooking skills, and a team mindset.

Expectations of the roles:

• Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
• Preparing food and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers
• Plating prepared foods based on Chef/manager guidance
• Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time
• Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations
• Prior experience as a cook is a must.
• The desire for continuous learning and professional development is ideal.
• Ability to stand for long hours.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Commitment to the production of high-quality outputs and excellent customer service. ( We love our customers!)

Ability to work shifts at night, over weekends, and on holidays, as required (We are closed on major holidays)
