Line Cook -Mister Oso Boulder

The Culinary Creative Group is looking for a reliable and talented part time line cook to join our Mister Oso in the Moxy Hotel in Boulder. Mister Oso, one of nine Denver Bib Gourmand's, is a gem in the Latin cuisine world!

Pay: All of our restaurants include a service charge fee on each transaction, so this range includes the base pay plus service charge.

PURPOSE

The Line Cook is responsible for cooking and preparing menu items, plating dishes, and assisting the Chef or Kitchen Manager to help keep the kitchen running smoothly.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with stocking and setting up the kitchen.
  • Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients.
  • Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes.
  • Cook appetizers, main dishes, and desserts according to recipes.
  • Plate prepared food based on Chef or Kitchen Manager guidance.
  • Work with servers and/or expeditor to ensure that orders are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Wash and clean the kitchen and cooking utensils and store equipment at the end of shifts.
  • Ensure that kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Passion for great food and ability to consistently produce amazing food for our guests.
  • Understanding of industry-standard best cooking and preparation practices.
  • Familiarity with safe and sanitary food handling and preparation.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Great collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to follow procedures and hold yourself accountable.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Ability to take direction and feedback extremely well. Learn from mistakes and be able to react and respond quickly to issues.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of restaurant kitchen experience.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing, weekends, and holidays.

Work Environment: Job is typically performed in a restaurant environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
