Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of sauteed dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient selection and preparation techniques
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining quality standards
  • Handle food ingredients with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and rotation to minimize waste
  • Support the overall kitchen operation by participating in food prep, plating, and finishing touches
  • Follow all safety protocols related to knife skills, cooking techniques, and equipment use to prevent accidents

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or culinary setting
  • Strong knife skills and familiarity with sauteing techniques
  • Experience working in fine dining or high-end food service environments preferred
  • Knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations
  • Background in dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude toward learning new culinary skills
