Duties

• Assist in food preparation by chopping, cleaning, and organizing ingredients to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Support the kitchen team with cooking tasks, following recipes and safety standards to deliver quality dishes
• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently
• Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to uphold food safety regulations and hygiene standards
• Help with meal assembly during busy service times, ensuring timely delivery of orders
• Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to keep the kitchen well-organized and prepared for service
• Support catering events or special functions by preparing ingredients or assisting with setup and cleanup

Requirements

• Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
• Basic knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
• Experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings is highly desirable
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with meal preparation methods are a plus
