Duties

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
  • Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by efficiently managing multiple orders and prioritizing tasks.
  • Handle food handling responsibilities responsibly, including proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients.
  • Follow all health department regulations and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members on menu planning ideas and special catering requests to enhance customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a food service setting such as restaurants, catering, or dietary departments is highly preferred.
  • Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques are essential.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is required.
  • Experience with meal preparation, cooking methods, and food industry best practices is beneficial.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward serving customers and supporting colleagues.
  • Prior dietary aide or dietary department experience is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is key.
