Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment. You will work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure that all food is prepared according to our standards of excellence and safety. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in menu planning and food preparation for daily specials.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed at all times.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
- Participate in regular kitchen clean-up duties, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or fine dining setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with culinary techniques, food handling, and safety standards is essential.
- Experience as a dietary aide or in food service roles is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills within the culinary field.
- Knowledge of menu planning and kitchen operations will be advantageous.
