Line Cook/Prep Cook

Need to Have all the required work cards before being hired

· MUST HAVE BREAKFAST EXPERIENCE

· BE AVAILABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS

· Be able to follow directions and plating procedures the chef has set forth

· MUST BE ABLE TO READ AND FOLLOW RECIPES

· We need someone confident and can handle any situation, must be able to be a self- discipline and keep busy during slow times.

· Consistently prepare, cook, plate and finish all food items according to procedures and standards.

· Comply with all food safety requirements such as checking and maintaining temperature, dating and labeling products, rotating products so that oldest is used first.

· Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.

· Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications

· Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, burners, ovens and refrigeration equipment.

· Handle, store and rotate all products properly.

· Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.

· Complete side work for station and shift.

· Close the kitchen correctly. Follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assist others in closing stations and the kitchen.

· Performs other related duties as assigned by the manager-on-duty.

Appearance / Uniform:

· Complies with all company standards related to appearance and uniform standards.

  • Personal hygiene must be maintained

WORK Conditions:

· Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Postural & Physical Demand Requirements:

· Frequent reaching above waist, chest and shoulder level as well as and reaching below waist level.

· Frequent to continuous need for manual dexterity of both hands (pushing, pulling, handling, gripping, fine finger controls, etc.).

· Continuous standing on hard surfaces for many tasks.

· Frequent hip flexion while walking for all tasks.

· Frequent exposure to cold/ below freezing and high heat temperatures (walk-in refrigerator, freezers, and ovens)

· Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.

· Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

· Bending, squatting, stooping for cleaning activities throughout the shift.

· Climbing on step stools for cleaning projects as needed.

· Must have reliable transportation

Must speak english

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
